Eariaru Tower

Burak Genc

I started my daily route investigations by using a technique I borrowed from film, whereby my actions were observed by different neighbours and made visible through their eyes. Observation is also an issue I discovered by looking at the Moriyama House of Ryue Nishizawa. The house consists of several rooms, of boxes that are arranged on the site, linked by an exterior path that can be entered directly from the street. The inhabitants have to negotiate with the undefined boundaries between private and public space. In my design I converted the idea of the open path through a house, but not as an horizontal, but as an vertical connection.
